Welcome to my world
I live in London with my two crazy cats, Phil and Grant. This is my online training journal as I will be running the British London 10km in July, and I hope you enjoy your visit!

Back to the grind
So I’m back in the UK now after a lovely week in Spain. Well … the nights out were lovely (if a tad late - I don’t think I could ever get used to still being eating dinner at midnight too often), and the days were busy but flew by.
Back this afternoon, courtesy of Easyjet (actually an airline I quite like to fly with - they’re cheap, their planes are new and clean and the crews are very friendly). And of course back to my beautiful boys who have waited patiently all week for me to come home to give them some cuddles. Don’t worry - they’re not abandoned whenever I go away, they have a babysitter who feeds them twice a day and gives them lots of attention.
So, now it’s the weekend … First on the agenda is recovering from the late nights, second is possibly going for a run (my foot has now stopped hurting for three days straight, but I don’t want to risk thrashing it too much) and third hoping and praying the web server is going to stay up long enough to let obsessive compulsive fans of Danielle whitter on about how much they miss her. Me … if I never need another picture of her again it’ll be too soon.

Glad you had a good time John, even if you did go out there to work. Never flown with Easyjet, watched the airline program a few times and was put off a bit, but you make them sound quite attractive. *fingers crossed* the WW server stands the Dan/Ron demand.

The thing I always found when I watched Airline though was that a lot of the people complaining had caused their own problem. They’d turned up late, they’d forgotten their passport etc. But then they’d expect Easyjet to bend the rules and let them fly, and when they can’t - kick off for the cameras.
Now Ryanair - that’s a completely different story. I’d never touch them with a bargepole. A poor stewardess on the car park shuttle bus who was heading back to her car, and not even working was lynched by two blokes yesterday who decided to give her a hard time because she chose to work for Ryanair. While the blokes were probably justified, I hope they felt better for making that poor woman feel miserable after she’s probably had a shitty day at work and all she wanted was to get home.

I’ve always either flown with Virgin or British Airways, but found Virgin to be my preference. I haven’t been on a short flight for many, many years now and Virgin are great for long haul flights.
I used to love those airline shows, but you are right they did always show the people who had brought their problems on themselves. Had it been the other way around the shows wouldn’t have been the same really. lol
